Running for Office

If you are considering running for a local office, good sources of information are:
  • The LWV's annual "Running For Office" workshop held in January, which gives tips from current office holders, the Town Clerk and the MA Office of Campaign Finance.
  • The Town Clerk, who can review how to "file papers" and various deadlines for reporting financial information.
  • The MA Office of Campaign and Public Finance offers weekly seminars on campaign finance law. Their website offers much additional guidance: http://www.mass.gov/ocpf/
